Tradition
A heritage, a Cognac
Château de Villars as its foundations in the Middle Ages. It was built in the end of the 15th century and was the property of François 1er, King of France from 1515 to 1547.
François 1er, who was born in Cognac, came often at Château de Villars to participate in hunting events with the court.
It is here, in this castle that the Cognac de Montleau develops its great diversity of flavours thanks to the ancestral traditions and the long ageing process happening in those cellars full of history.
